There’s no better way to communicate an agency’s aesthetic than through its work. With help from Bristol-based design and development studio Yadda, Dazzle Ship, a London-based creative production studio, stripped down its site to a minimalist core, enabling its work to stand out. Each of Dazzle Ship’s case studies features a Vimeo-video integration built with a custom animation that slides out the introductory text and begins a video playback. Yadda built the site with the WordPress CMS using the Anime.js animation engine for the complex animations seen on the site’s introductory sequence and the Info page load. On the case study pages, scrollReveal.js lazy loads the large images as visitors scroll down the page; the WP Rocket plugin handles the page caching, file compression and image loading to optimize the site’s performance.
