Since its founding in 1993, it’s been a force and a change agent in the world of computer-generated and digital creative content: multiple Academy Award nominations and wins speak to its impact on the film industry; it’s also been a pioneer in the commercial realm, working with top directors on some of the world’s most memorable TV spots and earning CLIO, AICP and Cannes Lion awards; and thanks to music videos for the likes of The Rolling Stones, Faith Hill and Nine Inch Nails it’s garnered both Grammy and MTV honors.

Driving both the technology and technique of visual effects Digital Domain is receiving major recognition for its pioneering work. The site redesign was part of an overall corporate rebranding campaign on the occasion of Digital Domain’s recent purchase by an investment firm.

Building on the success of projects that bring entertainment, advertising, gaming and the Web together, Digital Domain is focusing its future on creating original content for screens of all sizes. This dynamic site with an administration system that provides the client full control over all sections  allowing for creative content to be boldly displayed.

• With 42 content modules, the site features upwards of 1,000 images and over 200 videos (all movie clips were loaded into one central SWF file and managed via Actionscript 2.0 for positioning and loading).

• Visitors are never more than two clicks away from the main navigation (built using XML to make it dynamic for adding and removing sections). A bold icon system identifies key sections, creating an association between the work and the iconography.

• A Javascript overlay system to display QuickTime videos masks pop-up windows.

• The site receives roughly 1,000 visits per day.
