A black-and-white homepage with plenty of breathing room—this was what greeted visitors to London-based design firm dn&co.’s site for years. Feeling that it had grown apart from its old site, the design firm buckled down and refreshed its online presence to focus on the vivid colors within its work. The keystone behind dn&co.’s site design strategy was simplicity; as a design firm, its work—and the ethos behind its work—sparkles when it takes the center stage. To accomplish this, dn&co. placed a video showreel at the top of the homepage to immerse visitors within its portfolio and demonstrate the diversity of its work; case studies further concentrate on the variations within dn&co.’s styles and approaches. The design firm implemented a bespoke CMS that enables everyone at dn&co. to upload projects, load news stories and keep its site in sync with its social media presence. Since its launch, the site has received a 625 percent increase in visitors.
