Internet users who have traveled to alcohol-related websites are used to being welcomed by the typical, age-gated splash page. So for its site design for the Alsace, France–born and Athens, Greece–made Fischer Beer, the Athens-based office of digital creative agency Isobar decided to shake things up with an interactive “taste-gate,” which takes the form of a six-piece picture puzzle that users must complete to enter the site. Based on the general philosophy behind the Fischer brand, the site’s design features dark, leathery textures, minimal lines and pastel colors to communicate its sense of sophistication and bohemian style. Isobar brought the experience to life with elegant animations, including frames, overlays and animated photographs that show the creation process behind Fischer Beer’s products.
