Background: Fleur Moreau is a product designer who just recently graduated from the French School of Decorative Arts in Paris. This site is the portfolio of her work over the last three years.
Highlights: The purpose of this site is to highlight the projects of Fleur and sublimate it through design. As her work is mainly objects that we can interact with, assemble and disassemble, we wanted to convey some of this essence, using only pictures. As a lot of her products are split into pieces, we decided to demonstrate these interactions with an animation. Users can decompose an illustration of her work to have a better understanding of the product by simply scrolling through the project page.
Challenges: To create a site that stands out from other product designers’ portfolios while being elegant, to truly reflect Fleur Moreau’s work. We also kept in mind that Fleur needs to update her projects easily, which compelled us to create a general template. We also spent a lot of time on the interface details to ensure the motion design and the code matched perfectly, and weren’t overshadowing the content itself.
Technical features: This website was developed using Nuxt, an SSR library based on Vue.js, with some tweaks to allow the transitions we wanted between the pages. All the content is fetched from Contentful, a cloud CMS, in order to provide Fleur the opportunity to manage her projects by herself.
