In the redesign of Forefathers’ site, the design firm headed by Emir Ayouni, Jonden Jackson and Matthew Hay wanted to visually arrest visitors right off the bat. So they commissioned eighteen-inch marionettes in their likenesses and created a custom hero video introduction featuring their puppet selves working, celebrating and posing pensively for the camera. The site design itself matches the hero video in its engagement, with plenty of images that assist deep dives into Forefathers’ case studies and “Short Stories” that reveal the glamorous and not-so-glamorous parts of being a designer. The site acts as a hub for Forefathers’ newest and proudest works and its writings and learnings on the design industry.
