As Central Ohio’s primary network for enterprise, SocialVentures offers resources and programs that support business to become social enterprise accelerators. Designed and developed by Columbus, Ohio–based firm FORT, SocialVentures’s new site showcases a robust marketplace of businesses that drive their communities forward for the greater good. Users can browse and filter the site’s offerings by variables such as business-to-business, business-to-consumer and businesses currently extending deals to visitors. Each profile has the ability to offer a ‘deal,’ where content can be customized and users are signed up directly to that business’s email list via Mailchimp; businesses can also customize how visitors can get involved with their services. The site also features an extensive programs and workshops section that encourages the community to take advantage of the services SocialVentures provides to young businesses. Built in PHP, the site has received 3,200 visitors within the first month of its launch.
