Background: We wanted to create a serious corporate website that would inform GlobIQ’s potential clients of the company’s services. We wanted to communicate the international aspect of the company, and be impressive and elegant at the same time.

Highlights: The core elements of the website are the abstract geometrical shapes that represent each one of the company’s services. We designed these shapes in order to communicate the complex, mathematical and analytical nature of the services. The other core element of the website is the side “drawer,” in which all information is displayed, with clean typography that is easy to read.

Challenges: To think of an innovative way to visually represent financial services. It was also challenging to decide on the design of the 3-D elements, and develop the interactions using WebGL.

Favorite details: The page transitions, the background with the dots in combination with the title animations and the 3-D shapes. They came up really smooth and it was very tricky to make that happen. Also, the overall design of the 3-D elements and the small mathematical type, because they essentially give shape to the values that the company wanted to communicate to the users.

Anything new: Collaborating with 3-D artists and involving them in our creative process. This project was our first attempt to create a website that uses React.js on the frontend and that connects to a WordPress backend, via WP’s REST API. This allowed us to have a solid single page application (SPA) experience and provide our client with an easy way to update the content.
