A Montréal-based architectural firm, Héloïse Thibodeau Architecte creates strikingly contemporary residences, school buildings and public recreational areas. For its site, Montréal-based design firm Phoenix the Creative Studio brought the architectural firm’s portfolio to life, embelleshing it with smooth animations and bold design. The letters H, T and A make up the site’s main design motif, unfurling in each page’s corners as it loads. With a navigation bar fixed to the top of the site, Phoenix the Creative Studio’s straightforward navigation facilitates visitors’ exploration of Héloïse Thibodeau Architecte’s extensive portfolio; the site features more than 25 case studies and a filterable gallery that can also be ordered alphabetically or by date. 

Phoenix the Creative Studio built the site with the WordPress CMS, and the animations were created in Adobe After Effects before being exported as PNG sequences. The new site quadrupled Héloïse Thibodeau Architecte’s online traffic and was featured as an Awwwards Site of the Day, as well as garnered a CSS Design Award.
