Sheet metal fabricators Heather and Little have supplied ornamentation for many historic buildings around North America since 1925. Toronto-based design firm Overdrive Design, Ltd. created an elegant site design as part of a comprehensive rebranding for the company. Overdrive customized a color palette after copper and patina, reflecting Heather and Little’s work. “The site is not particularly fancy, but instead defaults to the basic rules of good design,” says James Wilson, principal at Overdrive. “Nothing is too overstated or complex, because it is a deep site. Therefore, we wanted to facilitate access to a sizeable amount of information.” An omnipresent “get a quote” button calls visitors to action, and the site features images that recall Heather and Little’s dedication to old-world craftmanship to build a sense of trust in visitors as they browse the company’s online platform.
Legwork designed the liquor brand’s site to be easily accessible to humans and web bots alike.
