Promoting well-being through changing subconscious thought processes, HelloMind is an app that enables users to access results-driven hypnotherapy for specific issues, including low self-esteem, stress and unhealthy habits. Having created the identity, functionality and app design, Danish branding agency Stupid Studios also created a site that acts as an online access point to teach visitors about HelloMind. “The primary goal of the site was what the application could do for users, and to get visitors to download it,” says Stupid Studios’ partner and managing director Christian Mogensen. “So, focusing on storytelling on the front page, we made the decision to conceal the rest of the content in a ‘hidden’ menu.”

The storytelling on the front page provides visitors with a run-down of the app’s capabilities—including testimonies from its users and an overview of the issues it can help alleviate—but elegantly animated graphics imbue an overall sense of flow to the page. The menu, not-so-secretly displayed on the main page’s navigation bar, enables visitors to dive deeper into HelloMind’s history and process to get a better sense of how results-driven hypnotherapy can work for them. Because the site is so inexorably linked with the product, it’s hard for Christian Mogensen to look at the metrics separately, but as he says, “[HelloMind] became the most downloaded app in the Danish App Store within 24 hours of its release … even beating Pokémon Go.”
