Background: Hildén & Kaira is a Helsinki-based social content agency known for authentic, performance-driven content. Its previous site had strong creative appeal and even earned a Site of the Day on Awwwards, but the brand had outgrown its own perception. While the agency’s work increasingly appealed to marketing managers and C-level decision-makers, the visual identity still resonated more strongly with a creative audience. The goal was not simply to make the brand more professional but to make it more convincing and mature, without losing the human and authentic character that defines Hildén & Kaira’s work.
Design core: The visual identity was developed by Jasper Wichers Schreur of Studio Debuut. The identity combines an organic logo, an editorial typographic style, and a distinctive material and color system. The handwritten h and k merge into an abstract ampersand, introducing humanity and character into the brand. The typography adds trust and authority, helping the brand communicate more effectively with a senior audience without becoming distant or corporate.
One of the most distinctive elements is the combination of chrome and yellow. Chrome represents resilience and performance under pressure, while the yellow introduces energy and human connection. Together, they create a deliberate tension that bridges the gap between authority and authenticity.
The site’s standout feature is a case study slider that pulls live client performance data: organic views, likes and the three best-performing videos for each client, updated daily. Built through a no-code automation by Stefan of Quikcode using Airtable and Make, it transforms a static portfolio into a living proof of performance. The proof is not only part of the message but part of the experience.
Challenges: The core challenge was identifying and resolving the tension at the heart of the brand. Hildén & Kaira’s success is built on authenticity: real people, real stories and content that feels genuine rather than manufactured. At the same time, the agency increasingly serves audiences that look for credibility, expertise and proven results. The challenge was not to choose between authenticity and authority but to bring them together.
Every design decision was made with that balance in mind. Motion also played a key role. The previous site had strong animations, but the interactions were working against the experience rather than supporting it. This time, motion was kept intentional and restrained, enhancing the content without competing with it.
Navigation structure: We kept the navigation minimal and direct, reflecting the overall tone of the brand. The priority was getting visitors to the work and the results as quickly as possible. For a performance-focused agency, the case studies needed to be front and center, supported by clear paths to contact. No unnecessary layers, just a clean and confident structure that lets the content do the talking.
Technology: The site was designed in Figma and built in Webflow. Animations and interactions were handled with GSAP and ScrollTrigger, with custom code managed through Slater. Additional interaction resources were used from Osmo Supply. The live performance data integration was built using Airtable and Make, connected to the client’s social platforms and updating the case study content automatically on a daily basis. This setup allows Hildén & Kaira to keep their portfolio current without any manual updates.
