Background: The purpose of this portfolio site was to digitally capture the timeless luxury in all of Monaco-based architects Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet’s interior and architectural work. They are a prominent duo well-known for their work, so we wanted to represent them well.
Highlights: The use of typography and imagery to create a high-end editorial style online.
Challenges: There were a lot of details on the site—like interactions with the scrolls and the motion. Having the web design, motion design and development exactly match is possible, but challenging nonetheless. In the end, with diligent quality assurance and extreme attention to detail, we were able to translate design into development.
Favorite details: The subtleties of motion incorporated throughout the website that brings all the features and details to life. For example, the way that some of the letters overlay over photos upon scroll creates an interesting twist to luxury.
Anything new: Having beautiful visual assets to work with is half the battle. While this wasn’t a new lesson, it was definitely affirmed by working on this project. The work of Emil and Christophe is beautifully stunning, so having photography of their work truly worked in our favor.
