Black-and-white photographs of people playfully float in a landscape of colorful material that evokes ripped paper, as well as the different wines in Salento, Italy–based winery I Buongiorno’s portfolio. This is the main design element on both I Buongiorno’s labels as well as its site from Brescia-based creative collective Adoratorio. The landing page features a fully animated horizontal scroll with the collaged figures and landscapes moving from left to right with parallax effects; the horizontal scroll can either be activated by clicking on the left and right sides of the page or by scrolling up and down on the mouse. Each of I Buongiorno’s wines has a vertically scrolling minipage that introduces visitors to its characteristics with visual elements based on its label. Using a progressive loading system, the site’s pages download assets as visitors scroll through them, keeping loading times low and functionality high. Adoratorio’s designers utilized Barba.js for the site’s transitions and the GreenSock Animation Platform for its animations; the site’s slider was created in Canvas. I Buongiorno’s online platform has received more than 40,000 visitors within its first 20 days online; the next step for I Buongiorno and Adoratorio is to open the door to new markets in China, Japan, Korea and Russia.
