As a full-service creative studio, Institute helps its clients to connect with people in real ways, from creative direction to concept development to the production of live experiences. Designed and developed by design consultancy Commission and digital design studio Archive—both based in London—Institute’s site uses a superminimal layout to let its projects do the heavy lifting, showcasing the studio’s talents by way of its projects’ storytelling. By using Craft CMS, Commission and Archive enabled Institute to have greater creative control over the site’s content; the site incorporates color fades and compositional elements to give the creative studio flexibility in laying out its projects. Small details on the site encourage an in-depth delve into Institute’s work; the navigation bar disappears on pages behind Institute’s logo to remove visual distractions, and selecting a project on the landing page launches visitors past a “subliminal showreel,” effectively whetting their appetites to explore the creative studio’s portfolio.
Studio Juice’s site for this London-based cultural and arts venue conveys its different offerings to users.
