The London-based senior art director Clément Pavageau, who goes by the moniker “Kokopako,” has worked in UX design, interaction design and art direction for more than seven years in Paris, Stockholm, New York and Los Angeles. For his new portfolio site, with help from Paris-based developer Baptiste Briel, Pavageau created a minimal site design that comes to life with small, bespoke animations. Hover effects on the front page sneak animated WebGL wireframe objects into the background that rotate at random speeds and angles. For the front-end framework, Briel combined the framework bigwheel with the templating engine Mustache.js; the site itself is written with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, utilizing Three.js to display 3-D models in the background.
