Background: The object of Paris-based concert venue Le Trabendo’s website was to do a global UX/UI redesign and make it more modern while giving particular focus to the concert hall’s programming.
Favorite details: Easy access to the programming. At a glance, you can see the next eight gigs at the concert hall. Also, the next concert gets featured when the site displays the menu.
Challenges: We had to play with the different universes of the programming: the clubbing part, the concert part, and the festivals and events. So, we used a design system of different-colored dots to directly attract the user’s attention.
Another issue was the COVID-19 pandemic. Many shows had been postponed or canceled, so we had to be able to show this information to the user very quickly.
Navigation structure: The navigation is rather simple; we have a button in addition to the burger menu that redirects to the programming page. After all, the primary information that we want users to see on a concert hall’s website is the programming.
Technology: On this site, I used my favorite tools that are recurrent on almost all my websites: Locomotive Scroll, GSAP and ScrollTrigger for animated elements based on the user’s scroll.
