With a navigation that’s intuitive and unique, and an interface that keeps the focus and attention on the imagery, this modular and expandable site allows photographer Lee Crum to update it whenever he deems it necessary.
There’s a great deal of flexibility with regard to designing the section layouts that, from an aesthetic standpoint, give visitors the sense that they're walking and looking through a gallery space. From a developmental viewpoint, it's a flexible malleable space that can be added to and modified as often as needed—perfect for this prolific photographer.
It is, however, the auto play feature, built so the site could be used it as a slideshow during gallery openings by loading it up with work, that has really come in handy for this artist.
• It took four people six months to build the site.
• At the time of the build, the interface intentionally mimicked Lee’s real-life gallery space.
• At last count the site held 130 images.
