Background: The main purpose of the site was to create a multifaceted digital experience that would reflect Living Beauty Inc.’s positioning as a leader in the industry. With a personalized approach and a unique sensibility, the site’s artfulness parallels the company’s ethos. Living Beauty Inc. works with the most innovative brands and partners to bring the best products forward.
Larger picture: The site was an intrinsic part of the rebranding of Living Beauty Inc. itself. This identity emphasizes unique personal beauty at its core by playing with color, organic forms and its inherent humanity. The site served as a platform to highlight all the deep relationships Living Beauty Inc. has with its partners and brands, both from a service and a product perspective. It also illustrates the accomplishments the company has quietly amassed over the past few years, demonstrating how active, involved and connected it has been in this space.
Design core: Simple, yet imbued with fluidity and depth, the site balances the relationship between company and individual. A core feature would be the individual brand pages. These are built as a modular system that enables Living Beauty Inc. to have a variety of layouts between brands so each page feels unique and responds to specific needs. Furthermore, this type of system permits a more editorial approach to photography, making the site feel contemporary while being easy to read.
Favorite details: We looked for small opportunities to include subtle details throughout the site that would surprise and delight, such as the About page. Here, we played with typography and animation to bring a playfulness and joy to a content dense page while offering the user a moment of pause. This page also includes a hover for each team member, inviting the user to discover more about each one. This fosters more personal connections, which is what Living Beauty Inc. is all about. Typography and soft animation are used again in the Brands page to reveal and draw attention to the company’s core purpose.
Navigation structure: We kept the navigation clear, easy to use and always present. We used the analytics from Living Beauty Inc.’s first site as a guide to redefine the architecture, strengthening what was already working while finding solutions for known challenges.
