Lo-Flo Records represents the work of Los Angeles–based composer/songwriter Jane McNealy, who has created film scores, musicals and jazz songs. For her site, designer Julie Flogeac and developer Corentin Bac collaborated with the composer and her studio assistant Jesus Hernandez to create a dynamic site that tells McNealy’s story through acrylic paintings, silver photographs and sounds. Bespoke geometrical shapes introduce each page, cut from colored paper. Built with Adobe After Effects, HTML 5 and CSS, the site has received more than 4,000 visitors since its launch.
The San Francisco–based boutique advertising studio’s understated site lets its design thinking show, not tell.
