Background: Love, Death & Robots is a collection of animated short stories that span the genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy. With each episode taking a bold approach to narrative, the show is intended to be easy to watch and hard to forget. The goal of the site was to deliver a unique, visceral viewing experience.
Design core: The main feature is a crazy, adult design without any restrictions. Bold, but stylish. The hardest part was striking that balance.
Challenges: The most difficult part of the design was to highlight a select handful from the show’s 18 episodes. Every single one was beautiful, so it was really hard to choose.
Navigation structure: The idea behind the navigation was to create a game with an unpredictable ending—in the style of Love, Death & Robots.
Technology: The technology is classic, but this is a promo, so the site does not have an admin panel. This is a life hack on how to deliver the project on time: exactly in 30 days.
