This site is both a monograph of work and a marketing device for a Boston-based architecture firm. Contrary to the sites of many architecture firms, this one doesn’t spend a lot of time making philosophical statements about architecture. It also never tries too hard to be clever or artistic or to make the interface the star of the show. Instead, with its keep-it-simple attitude, it’s a clear, concise, photography-filled presentation of an impressive body of work.

• Thrown-out completely was the unwritten rule of maintaining a 1024 x 768 window format. With that out of the way, the development team created a poster-like presentation with large images and artfully oversized type that’s a perfect complement to the subject.

• The main, most recognizable, navigation elements are high-res photos of the studio’s work. Not just an easily identifiable and clickable series of links, they’re a comprehensive presentation of the firm’s 30+ years of work and the site’s primary content.

• We think that the fact that this site was built in-house by a group of architects, has had a direct effect on its approach and its appeal.
