Background: Matter Real Estate Group is a newly formed real estate development company operating primarily in Southwestern United States. The product of three industry veterans coming together, Matter implements development differently. By focusing on people and relationships—both with real estate brokers and the end users who will inhabit Matter projects—the company aims to make a lasting and positive impact on the communities it serves, communicating its unique point of view and building trust by showcasing previous projects. The Matter website was just one part of the campaign to introduce the company to real estate brokers and prospective tenants. Other components included direct mail, social media, signage, and event sponsorships—all unified with signature brand elements.
Highlights: The site’s core style elements include sturdy, engaging Clarendon typography, strong doses of “Matter yellow” and a dot motif inspired by the Matter logo, all set against a backdrop of large black and white images. The restrained color palette highlights the featured Matter projects, which are the only color images on the website. Favorite details: That copywriting and typography helped elevate the site over those of other real estate developers.
Navigational structure: We designed the navigation to make it easy for users to see what Matter has done. Once you’re in a featured project, scrolling down the page brings other related projects into view. Users can stay within the project portfolio and navigate to all of them.
Technical features: This is a WordPress site with parallax movement.
