Background: Modelec produces high-end electrical equipment using raw materials such as brass, aluminum, steel, wood and ceramics. The company has been manufacturing these products in France since 1976. Modelec targets businesses and professionals in the electrical industry, including electricians, contractors, architects and engineering firms looking for high-quality electrical equipment, as well as retailers and distributors, and design and aesthetic enthusiasts who value the visual appeal of electrical fixtures.

Design core: We created a custom configurator that lets the user instantly view customizable 3-D models. The user can choose the product model and customize its texture, color and button. For even more playful interactivity, the product can also be rotated in both light and dark environments.

Navigation structure: Modelec offers lighting products specializing mainly in high-end, custom-made switches. The main navigation focuses on various existing collections in an elegant, intuitive way. The main menu provides a dynamic overview of products that scroll smoothly, letting users quickly visualize product typologies and link them to Modelec’s collection.

Technology: As with many other sites we craft, Modelec’s website is based on Roadiz, our own headless CMS. Based on a Symfony PHP framework and built on a polymorphic data structure, Roadiz enables intuitive, ergonomic content management. The Modelec website utilizes a powerful tech stack, including Nuxt for optimal performance, GSAP for captivating animations and WebGL for immersive 3-D graphics. These technologies combine to create an engaging, visually impressive user experience.
