This site for the Museum of Modern Art brings the content from their latest exhibition kiosks to the Web. While the purpose of the kiosks is to offer a close-up and complete exploration of Seurat's thought process and the evolution of his ideas, the purpose of this site is to complement the themes of the show to entice museum visits. It does it's job well: It's a clear presentation that offers insight into Seurat's work and leaves visitors wanting more.
• The site structure doesn’t require a steep learning curve or an intense navigational drill-down. Instead, the hierarchy is simple with a mere handful of text links and smooth and effortless movement between sections.
• A key obstacle in the development was not a technical one: The sketchbooks had various public and private owners and the delivered assets varied greatly.
• Most of the roughly 2½ month development time was spent working with the raw sketchbook assets.
