From New York, Mother Design has been designing brands and identities, products and packaging lines, and digital and physical experiences for ten years. What better way to celebrate that than a contemporary online repository for its portfolio? With a back end built by New York-based digital design firm No Plans, Mother Design’s new site invites visitors to view its portfolio and makes a grand announcement: Mother London office is now open.
As a global team effort, thirteen to fifteen people with Mother Design’s two offices worked on the site at any one time, collaborating on everything from the front end design to content development to overall creative direction. The site provides an intuitive platform to showcase the design studio’s diverse body of work. Visitors can browse and view case studies in two modes: a visual mosaic of images and a typographic list. The design features neutral, reductive elements that reflect Mother Design’s new identity and emphasizes the company’s personality through copy and varied visuals.
