This online media kit is a thorough presentation of advertising specifications and circulation info for one of the world’s most recognized magazines. Not only does this site provide plenty of media information, it does a great job duplicating the essence of the magazine. The breathtaking images on this site solidify National Geographic’s reputation as “The World’s Magazine.” More than 500 high-res photos from National Geographic’s amazing image collection load randomly to create an ever changing background for the pointed content.

• The visual approach takes its cue from the cover format. Swapping the magazine’s trademark yellow border for black, the developers have created a bold, graphic frame for what’s essentially a showcase of world-class images.

• No time is wasted trying to learn the interface. It opens with a primary navigation divided (more or less) by continent, that quickly launches into clear divisions of Editorial, Advertising, Marketing and Audience.

• A technique generally used to conceal and reveal navigations, has been used for the content. The clean, sleek design, activated manually by subtle icons, metaphorically opens a visual “window on the world.”
