Background: The idea of Never Miss Out came from the frustration of searching for a concert ticket, and then finding out it has already been sold out. Never Miss Out enables music fans in different countries to look for available concert tickets worldwide among a selection of 300 artists and book the associated flight that will take them there. Part of the larger Air France Music site, Never Miss Out also curates relaxing playlists for take-off and landing. Every trimester, the site offers music fans a selection of artists and tracks inspired by a French touch.
Highlights: Exclusive interviews with artists, a selection of 30 songs available for streaming every trimester, fun facts about the tracks and “coup de coeurs” artists. For the site design, it was crucial to stick to the tone and style of Air France—an elegant and refined approach that combines music and traveling. Every trimester, the main set of colors changes on the playlist to evoke the new season.
Technical features: The website is static and uses client-side technologies, with all the logic being handled by Vue.js. Dynamic content is loaded over a REST API provided by Prismic, a headless CMS. We also used the Amazon CloudFront CDN to distribute static assets and API’s JSON files. We developed automated tasks to call the Songkick API and got a list of events related to the artists referenced on our site. Then, we regularly checked ticket availability with the events data on Songkick’s website.
