This site celebrates the milestones and achievements of one of the industry’s leading manufacturers of performance products. The downfall of many retrospectives is a too-serious approach with too much, only-important-to-the-company content. But this site never loses its appeal to the casual visitor. It’s an inclusive, balanced presentation that does a really nice job of drawing-in visitors. Like any good celebration, it quietly commemorates accomplishments, gives the honoree a chance to say a few words and invites guests to participate. Along the way, and seamlessly incorporated, are historical photos, a thorough review of the shoes, videos of elite runners, stories by everyday athletes and a signable guest book.

• “100 Years in 100 Seconds” video runs the perfect amount of time and has some great visuals and sound.

• This site’s real accomplishment is the symmetry of the presentation. Since sportswear wasn’t jettisoned to the forefront of fashion until well into the ’80s, there’s more to say about the more recent 25 years. Although content could easily have been weighted toward the present, the developers have done a great job of compiling and editing content to create a presentation that’s balanced and interesting.
