Designed by ad agency RSQ, NYC Pride’s vibrant new site showcases the events of 2016’s Pride Week, one of the busiest and largest LGBTQ+ events in the United States. RSQ took a modern approach to the rainbow pride flag, involving different color gradients into the site’s layout that change as new content loads. A historical timeline cements New York City’s status as a steward of the equality movement, featuring photographs taken from the historical archives of various New York institutions. The new site also enables visitors to quickly access information about events—times, tickets and available accommodations—while the back-end enables staff members to make quick, easy updates as information might change. The elegant, vibrant site has garnered positive responses from the community, and is expected to handle more than a million visitors throughout the month of June.
