Background: OnCorps is a decision guidance platform for global financial, consulting and technology firms. The platform improves decision-making and performance by enabling better data collection and analytics. With help from Black Book Studio and Ordinary Folk, we redesigned OnCorps’ website to tell a highly complex story about behavioral science, machine learning, decision-making and performance improvement in a simple, powerful way.

Highlights: Bold, elemental shapes and animations give the site depth and intensity. Orderly UX methodically unpacks OnCorps’ narrative. And simple, precise language demonstrates OnCorps’ mastery of the subject matter and respect for its audience. The full experience pulls users in and gets them excited about OnCorps—complexity and all.

Challenges: To build more advocates for OnCorps’ platform, more users have to understand what it does and how it works. Our challenge was making content understandable, without being reductive. Rather than dodging the complexity of behavioral science and machine learning, our solution acknowledges the subject matter head on, demonstrating OnCorps’ expertise by presenting the platform in a way that feels logical, intelligible and advanced.

Favorite details: We paid particular attention to background animations and content transitions as users scroll down the home page. The interactive background elements keeps them engaged with the site’s content and makes them curious about what they’ll see next.

Navigational structure: We recommended an absolutely minimal site footprint. This UX makes OnCorps appear authoritative, and it makes users feel confident that they can immediately grasp how the platform works and the benefits it provides.

Technical features: We built the site on the Webflow platform. It lets us focus more on UX, design and animations, rather than code. It also has a robust CMS that clients find easy and intuitive to use. All of the animated diagrams on the site are vector SVGs. They look great responsively while keeping file sizes low and site performance high. And we gave the home page a layer of animated visual noise to add a grittiness that ties everything together.
