Responses by Ivan Don, cofounder and producer; Evgeniy Fisun, cofounder, chief executive officer and art director; and Olesia Petrunec, art director and developer, Orgnzm Studio.
Background: “The main purpose of the website is to introduce Orgnzm Studio to potential clients and give them a clear sense of who we are, what we do and how we approach design,” say Ivan Don, Evgeniy Fisun and Olesia Petrunec. “We launched the studio relatively recently, so creating our website was one of the key stages in establishing Orgnzm as a brand. Our target audience is businesses, startups and brands looking for a partner to create distinctive digital experiences. As such, we wanted the website itself to demonstrate our capabilities rather than just describe them.”
Design core: “One of the key visual features is the 3-D stone trapped inside a block of ice, supported by stone illustrations that develop this concept throughout the site and became an important part of Orgnzm’s visual identity,” says Fisun. “Another feature is the team section. When users hover over a team member, their portrait appears surrounded by vivid red plants, adding an organic, interactive element to the experience.”
“Beyond the main visual concept, I consider the microanimations throughout the website to be an essential detail,” says Petrunec. “They create a particular rhythm across different sections and make the experience feel more dynamic and alive.”
Favorite details: “We created a custom Snake-style game specifically for the 404 page., and it became a detail that everyone on our team genuinely loves,” says Don. “We wanted to turn a page that is usually purely functional into something unexpected and entertaining, making the website interesting even in a place visitors normally wouldn’t want to reach.
Challenges: “One of the biggest challenges was bringing the main 3-D concept to life— a stone trapped inside ice that gradually melts while small flowers begin to grow from the stone,” Don explains. “We wanted an inanimate object to feel almost like a living organism: something that transforms, grows and evolves.”
New lessons: “With our studio website, we gave ourselves much more freedom to experiment with animation and interaction,” says Fisun. “Not every client project benefits from this amount of motion, so the website gave us an opportunity to push our ideas further and experiment without the usual limitations.”
Navigation structure: “We wanted the structure to be as clear and intuitive as possible,” say Don, Fisun and Petrunec. “Since the visual experience is quite expressive, we deliberately kept the navigation straightforward, allowing visitors to easily explore our work, team and studio without having to think about how the website works.”
Technology: “The website was built in Webflow, but a significant part of the experience goes beyond its native capabilities,” Petrunec explains. “We used custom JavaScript and GSAP for animations, transitions and interactive elements, as well as Lottie for some animated elements.”
Special technical features: “One of the key technical features is the scroll-driven animation of the ice melting around the stone,” the trio says. “As users move through the page, the transformation progresses with the scroll, connecting the main visual concept directly to the browsing experience. Together with custom interactions, microanimations and the playable 404 page, these details helped us make the website feel more like an interactive digital experience rather than a static studio portfolio.”
