Chicago-based design firm Firebelly Design runs the Grant for Good, an initiative where Chicago nonprofit organizations apply to have their branding reinvented from the ground up. The recipient of Grant for Good 2015, nonprofit Plant Chicago focuses on educating and equipping businesses and people with sustainable food production practices, including aquaponics farming and bioreactors. As part of a full suite of digital and print materials, Firebelly Design created a site that presents the nonprofit’s mission to visitors. Custom illustrations, icons and color palettes add layers of meaning to every page, and playful interactions and animations encourage visitors to dig deep into the organization and its vital work.
