Led by the Plungė District Municipal Public Library, Plungė Smart Park combines nature and technology to educate visitors on Lithuania’s cultural and natural history. With a grant from the Ministry of Culture in Lithuania, Vilnius-based creative digital studio Complete Baltics helped popularize the park with an elegant online platform. Built with the Drupal CMS, the site features an interactive tour that tracks visitors’s GPS coordinates and displays them on a stylized map, facilitating navigation of the park and showing the most worthwhile places to visit. Since its launch, Complete Baltics’ site has caused visitors to flock to the park and was awarded the best project for tourism development of the year in Lithuania.
