Background: We created a new website for a design consultancy based in Barcelona. Revelé helps to reposition brands by developing specific marketing, communication and design strategies.

Highlights: The pale dots are the main graphic elements of the site; they are complementary to the logo to reinforce the brand identity. But, they also make the site feel more playful and fun. Everything is based around the word Revelé, which is also the name of the brand. On the contact page, the dot is also used to erase the page and reveal the content.

Navigational structure: The site navigation system always remains in place, to allow for easy navigation. This also ensures that the logo is visible at any time.

Technical features: For static content, we used a JSON file that we load at the beginning of the navigation. Data in JSON is compiled in HTML with a templating engine (Underscore in this case). Since we used Instagram as a backend for the website, when it loads, it also fetches initial data from Instagram. As the website is a single-app (full-JS), we cached Instagram data in a JS object. We also used a physics engine for the dots on the home and about page. We created a world with zero gravity and a little friction for an effect similar to an air hockey game. The physics engine is calculated in a canvas element on the top of the page.
