Design core: A strong ethos in durable pieces that eventually become wardrobe favorites has shaped the Rino & Pelle brand into what it is today. Clothes that we love to live in become an extension of our emotions, which makes them part of our precious memories in life.
Craftsmanship and eye-for-detail play an important role in our work at Exo Ape, just as much as in Rino & Pelle’s work. We have echoed these brand values through profound design aesthetics and branded user interactions that emotionally connect visitors to the brand.
Challenges: Presenting the brand for business agents while radiating a daring, yet elegant style that appeals to regular customers. We solved this problem by striking a balance between a classic layout, experience-enhancing features and branded microinteractions that express the level of care and craftsmanship that Rino & Pelle puts into every single product.
Navigation structure: One of the main highlights of the website is the Instagram scroll section. In order to draw more attention to Rino & Pelle’s Instagram profile, we created a zoom-out animation that works on scroll and gives a sneak peek of the content that visitors can find behind the click.
While browsing a lookbook page, it’s typically hard to find the particular products that the model wears in the picture. We solved this problem by creating a “What she’s wearing” side panel that showcases each product worn by the model in every image.
Technology: By leveraging the flexible content blocks in a Wordpress back-end, Rino & Pelle is able to create and style seasonal lookbooks without any help. This will give the site a fresh look-and-feel every season. While maintaining a highly aesthetic front-end, we worked tirelessly to make the site compliant to Google Lighthouse’s requirements in order to optimize performance, SEO and accessibility.
Anything else? We kept all the content production for the project in-house. We also provided art direction for the product photography and 2020 brand movie.
