Architecture school SCI-Arc provides both experimental educational programs to its students and public lectures and exhibitions to architecture enthusiasts of the Los Angeles, California area. Interactive design firm Rumors signed on to develop a new identity and website for SCI-Arc that would visually anchor its positioning as a leading architecture school and a cultural institution. The site dives into the school’s archives to showcase lectures, exhibitions and videos, as well as detailing the admissions process. “We talked to current, past and prospective students about why they chose SCI-Arc,” says Rumors founder Andy Pressman. “The website became a way to take that experience and transmit it globally through images and videos.” The result reflects SCI-Arc’s energy and density of architectural thought in an accessible, elegantly-presented format.
