Background: The website is primarily aimed at space exploration enthusiasts and designers, but more generally, it is for anyone who is curious or fascinated by this field. The main project it connects to, however, is a physical book that collects all the logos, bound on Fedrigoni recycled paper and printed on Risograph. The book was recently fully financed on Kickstarter—at the moment, we are at 170 percent. It was born with the purpose of archiving and preserving a precious historical and cultural heritage, as well as paying tribute to all the designers who have contributed to making me so passionate about this topic.

Design core: I wanted the logos to be the heart of everything, but at the same time I didn't want to create a boring, aseptic website. I am very happy with the result, because although the site has a strong and vibrant personality, this does not distract from the main focus.

Challenges: Collecting, indexing and adding the information of all the logos.

Alternate paths: Right now, I wouldn't change much, but since the archive is meant to remain over time, I don't exclude that there may be redesigns in the future.

New lessons: I learned that I had definitely underestimated the workload to do such a project, but that's good, because it pushed me to do it!

Navigation structure: I wanted the site to be immediate and stable, so I created a responsive grid structure suitable for all formats. I tried to exclude all distracting elements such as pop-ups or drop-downs, leaving the right space for the logos.

Technology: The site was entirely designed with Figma and developed with Webflow, trying to minimize custom-code as much as possible by privileging Webflow’s native tools, to make the site more stable and efficient as possible.
