Digital agency Spring/Summer launched a new portfolio site that showcases its work with a minimal layout and digital finesse. “We were actually quite quick in our design and making a static version of the site, considering we did it between client projects,” says Spring/Summer’s founder and creative director, Pelle Martin. “We applied the new ‘Umbraco as a Service’ CMS to help us set up the basics, and we did the rest from there.” A simple user interface ties navigation together, seamlessly transitioning from one page to the next as visitors explore the site. A load strategy that balances preloading, progressive loading and streaming keeps interaction times fast while loading large video assets and images. “The site acts as a living platform,” Martin says, “so we can make great content that gives a better insight into the agency’s mission.”
The travel editorial’s site encourages visitors to explore California’s natural splendor.
