A winery in California’s Napa Valley, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars leapt to fame by winning the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris blind taste-testing competition, and has established itself as a luxury brand in the four decades since. Released in conjunction with the competition’s 40th anniversary, as well as the construction of a new visitor’s center at the winery, digital agency Fine designed an immersive, engaging site for Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars that highlights the brand’s historic influence, products and on-property experience. A carefully planned, fully responsive design renders the site seamlessly across mobile, desktop and tablet platforms. The minimal layout focuses on showcasing imagery first, enhanced by smooth CSS transitions between pages. The site also features an updated e-commerce platform that facilitates ease of movement from product collections to purchasing; users can explore the individual wines, and then add them to a cart from the product pages.
