Responses by Jean Naudy, founder and art director, PAM Studio.
Background: This site presents the work of StudioChevojon, a photographer specialized in luxury hotels, culinary, lifestyle and travel. This portfolio is part of a change in the positioning of our client who now wishes to target working for hotels or prestigious luxury locations.
Design core: As is often the case with PAM, this site is composed of a clean graphic style with nice typography based on the content. No graphic demonstration, just something cool and sober. What I think characterizes this site the most is the horizontal scroll and the incredible typography. The gallery of case studies was also very popular.
Challenges: The most difficult thing was to find a way to enter the site in an original, not-very-commercial way while introducing the fields of StudioChevojon’s activities.
Navigation: The idea to create an unstructured navigation proved to be a bit of an imposition to the journey. Later on, we added other paths, but the experience remains quite unidirectional.
Technology: The site is based on Wordpress, barba.js, GSAP, Smooth Scrolling and PreloadJS.
