The object of this online game for Magnecote magnetic printing paper is to put together winning business pitches. Intended for an industry in which careers are built around creative pitching, the game’s tongue-in-cheek tone is everpresent as users try to win the advertising account of one of three fictional clients. Its “real” goal is to spur agency creatives to specify this unique paper. Salted with inside humor and ad world stereotypes, it’s an inventively in-depth game that, even in its absurdity, relies on relatable truths about the business of presenting creative ideas.

• Game scenarios were drawn from the often humorous, “real-life” reflections of the developer’s past creative pitches.

• The game is neither easy nor obvious and is designed so that players must participate by changing presenters, hitting emphasis points and using “back-pocket items” when things start to go sour.

• Interestingly, the original client pitch for this all Flash site, was done low-tech—using paper, markers and charming presenters.
