This fresh take on an e-commerce experience marries catalog merchandising with dynamic mix-and-match capability to effectively drive sales. It’s a vibrant, polished experience that allows visitors to browse through the four most popular Lands’ End swimwear collections.

Comprised of four unique environments, themed around each swimwear line, visitors make their way around the site by interacting with the environment and content on each page (a supplemental navigation provides a fast and efficient alternative to the cinematic interface).

From there shoppers move to a “runway,” where the most popular combinations from that collection are seen on models lined on a dock; visitors can move through this line quickly and intuitively using a scrubber, mouse wheel, arrow keys or by rolling towards the edge of their screens. To find the perfect customized look, a Mix & Match application presents each collection in every available style and color. Suits can be filtered by sub-collection, one or two piece, or color families to quickly find a unique look.

• Clicking a model presents a close-up detail of the suit, easily navigated by simply moving the mouse.

• Mix & Match contains hundreds of different suits and thousands of different top and bottom combinations.

• The goal of the environmental nature of the site was to remove any intimidation women feel about choosing swimsuits, ultimately reminding them about what they love about needing one: beaches, pools and the outdoors.

• Breadcrumbs at the top left keep track of location, and a quick nav at the lower right allows users to jump to any point of any collection in a single click.
