Canadian telecommunications company and service provider TELUS TV extends its capabilities to local storytellers through its Optik Local initiative, providing funding and training to aspiring filmmakers in British Columbia and Alberta. Vancouver, British Columbia–based digital creative agency Pound & Grain developed the concept, design and technical development for the initiative’s new website. Core features of the site focus on user experience, enabling visitors to discover the different types of funding Optik Local offers, as well as providing an elegantly minimal video gallery for viewers to browse funded projects. Ninety-six films are currently available to view, with new additions being made every week.
