The Curiositorium is the global destination for Hendrick’s gin and all of the loyal followers of the brand.
In a digital world with increasingly bite-sized, short-attention span content, this site takes the opposite approach and offers a rich experience that brings to life the brand’s delightfully peculiar attributes. Site visitors are welcomed by the graceful and meticulously-drawn illustrations and amusing terminology—and the longer they stick around, the more content they unveil.
In sections titled “Our Peculiar Past,” “A Gin Made Oddly” and “The Little Shop of Oddities,” content consists of the gin’s history and production, cocktail suggestions from the world’s leading bartenders, the Unusual Times newspaper. The site, of course, also directs visitors to Hendrick’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.
• The site was in production for eighteen months.
• Quaker City Mercantile, Hendrick’s brand agency, provided flat print illustrations of the characters that have long been synonymous with the brand; LBi created an entire world in which they could come to life.
• The Curiositorium is the cornerstone of Hendrick’s global advertising campaign and relationship marketing strategies.
• A PHP-based CMS system allows for custom creation and separate content for different countries.
