The exhibition microsite was part of a larger promotional campaign for the Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It delves deeply into one piece of the exhibition: the story behind the restoration of Tintoretto's The Nativity.

Organized in a simple and compact fashion, maintaining a minimal number of pages with high-density content, the navigation structure consists of simple categorizations that can easily guide a user’s information quest about the exhibition.

Playing the role of both invitation and teaser, the site gave visitors quick access to tickets or a playful, investigative pathway to further explore the content of the exhibition. By previewing what visitors will experience when they come to the show, the exhibition microsite provides a compelling pre-visit interaction that both fosters ticket sales and supports the museum’s educational mission.

• In addition to the interactive components, promotion for the exhibition included outdoor, print and radio advertisements.

• The 47th was responsible for site design and development, while the bounty of content was organized and created by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

• For areas that needed to be kept as rich as possible, jQuery and the available plugin libraries were used  in lieu of Flash, to create rich interaction while still maintaining a searchable, indexable and semantic site.

• The site has fifteen images (all with expanded views), five integrated videos, two audio pieces and one large Flash exploration activity.

• To mitigate download times on the  image-heavy site, as many common and related images are incorporated into single image files.

• The site’s received more than two to three times the traffic over the last three exhibition sites, making it one of the most visited exhibition sites the museum has done in recent years.
