Responses by Deven Caron, developer; Pier-Luc Cossette, designer and front-end developer; Kim Levan, cofounder, KOKI-KIKO; and Louis Paquet, creative director and designer.

Background: “The Vazzi website is here to bring Vazzi to life—a fresh, new lubricant brand from the sexual wellness family at Afterglo,” says Kim Levan. “While Afterglo focuses on self-care and wellness, Vazzi brings an extra layer of playfulness and energy, sparking spontaneity and fun. It’s more than just a product; it’s an invitation to enjoy the moment. Even the name—inspired by the French phrase ‘vas-y’ (meaning 'let’s go’)—captures that sense of excitement and freedom.

“The site gives Vazzi its own vibe and identity,” Levan continues. “It’s designed to stand strong on its own but remains connected to Afterglo’s Shopify backend, so everything works seamlessly. Vazzi is for a curious, open-minded audience that values pleasure, play and living in the now.”

Design core: “We wanted the Vazzi website to feel as lively and fun as the brand itself,” says Louis Paquet. “It’s a 'wet’ experience that really aligns with Vazzi’s message of everyday pleasure and playfulness. When users arrive, they’re welcomed with a full-screen 3-D animation of liquid flowing across the screen, instantly setting the tone for a playful ‘Lube-Land’ full of floating characters. Bold colors and animations keep things vibrant, and we even hid a fun easter egg on a product page for those who love a surprise!

“We kept everything user-friendly,” adds Paquet. “While the site is full of energy, the shopping experience stays smooth and straightforward—so visitors can easily find and enjoy what they need without any distractions.”

Navigation structure: “For navigation, we wanted simplicity and quick access,” Paquet explains. “With just seven products, we skipped the usual product listing page. Instead, we went with a fullscreen pop-up that appears when users click Products in the menu. It’s just a quick overlay, no extra loading time—right to the product details, and on to the best part: adding it to your cart!

“To keep things inclusive, we added a Stop animations toggle in the menu for anyone who prefers a more static experience,” Paquet continues. “This way, visitors have control over how they navigate the site, whether they want the full animated vibe or a more focused shopping experience.”

Technology: “We built Vazzi with seamless order management in mind, keeping all orders linked directly to the main Shopify store,” say Deven Caron and Pier-Luc Cossette. “We chose DatoCMS for its flexible schema setup, making it easy to connect specific Shopify products to Dato records. Through the Shopify Storefront API, we manage carts and orders smoothly from the main store. The front end runs on a headless stack featuring Astro, GSAP, Locomotive Scroll and Tailwind CSS, all designed to create a smooth, dynamic experience. With Vercel powering deployment, we’re set for performance and reliability.”
