Background: Vertical is a communication agency based in Paris, France. To promote its new identity, which was created by Atelier Irradié, the agency asked us to create its site, as it liked our fresh approach to web design and animation.

Highlights: The menu, which emphasizes the agency’s name and identity: Vertical. To show its non-linear approach and different fields of work, we added depth to the main menu elements.

Favorite details: The simplicity of the navigation, and that it works well across all devices. On mobile, the gyroscope is included, and it also reacts to users titling their phones to the side.

Navigational structure: The navigation is quite simple. As the landing page is the menu, this takes users through all the content. From there, users can go back to the menu. We consciously didn’t go deeper in hierarchy to keep this simple mechanic.

Technological features: The site uses basic techniques, which makes it both light and fast. The menu was built using CSS 3-D transformations and perspectives.
