Headquartered in Torrance, California, furniture company Virco provides America’s schools with American manufactured chairs, desks and tables, which have facilitated comfortable learning experiences for more than sixty years. Its new site, created by Manhattan Beach, California–based digital agency Isadora Design, houses not only its mission but its more than 100,000 product variations for customers to browse. Oversized type and product images create unique shapes and line work, and longer pages create vertical stories for the site’s key areas, including the homepage, product pages and education solutions. Layering provides depth while simultaneously lifting products off the background, creating the illusion that they’re jumping off the screen.
This New York-based art director’s site, with development by Timothée Roussilhe, brings fluidity to a whole new level.
