Founded by designer and art director Darren Firth, We Occupy has challenged the concept of art galleries for more than a decade, publishing and exhibiting work from exceptional artists around the world. With help from UK-based developers Eric Cheung and Chi-Chun Chang, We Occupy now has a sleek online platform that demonstrates its new brand positioning. Coded in PHP with WordPress and the e-commerce platform WooCommerce, the site is hosted using DigitalOcean—via Cloudways with HTTP/2 and PHP-FPM enabled—to streamline performance by loading images simultaneously.
